During the fiscal year 2024, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), renowned as the nation’s leading insurer, marked a momentous achievement through its Agent Assister Ananda App. (Atma Nirbhar Agents New Business Digital App) This digital platform serves as a gateway for policy sales, enabling LIC to surpass the remarkable milestone of selling more than 1 million policies.

As our India is on the way to be ATMA NIRBHAR in all counts. LIC has taken initiative to make its LIC advisors Atma Nirbhar (Self Dependents).

What is ANANDA ?
ANANDA is an application that allows new LIC policies to be issued conveniently. LIC agents no longer need to visit the office to log new policies. With a computer or laptop, agents can easily process and log new policies from anywhere.

The life insurance profession is often regarded as the "best-paid hard work." The more effort you put in, the higher your commission earnings. Additionally, selling life insurance provides recurring commission payments from a single sale, which can continue even after the agent resigns or passes away—provided the necessary business requirements are maintained according to the rules.

First-Year Commission

Under standard terms and tables, agents receive a first-year commission equal to 28% of the first-year premium paid by policyholders.

Bonus Commission

Agents can earn a bonus commission of 40% on eligible first-year commissions by meeting specific criteria, such as achieving a target for the total first-year premium and insuring a minimum number of lives within the agency year.

Retirement Benefit

Agents are entitled to a gratuity of up to ₹5,00,000, as outlined in Schedule VI of the (Agents) Rules, 1972. This benefit is available to agents who have maintained the business guarantee for at least 15 qualifying years.

Hereditary Commission

In the unfortunate event of an agent's death after holding an agency for at least two years, the renewal commission** continues to be paid to the agent's heirs or nominee. This benefit is provided as long as the agent had a minimum of ₹1 lakh in-force business at the time of their passing.

Guaranteed Income

If an agency is terminated due to non-performance after five years but before ten years, the renewal commission continues to be payable, provided the agent had at least ₹2 lakh in-force business one year prior to termination. For agents who complete ten years of service, this condition is waived.

Growing Income

With the recurring income feature of insurance compensation, your earnings grow steadily each year. Each year's new sales add to your renewal commission, creating a compounding effect. As your experience increases and your business grows, your income has the potential to expand significantly.

Renewal Commission

Agents earn 7.5% of the second and third years' premiums (under standard terms and tables) and 5% of premiums from the fourth year onward. This renewal commission is tied to the payment of renewal premiums. To maximize your earnings and provide excellent service, ensure clients keep their policies active by reminding them to pay their premiums.

Term Insurance Benefits

Agents enjoy free family protection under Schedule VI of the (Agents) Rules, 1972. In the event of the death of a confirmed agent before the age of 60, term insurance is payable provided:

The agent was appointed before the age of 50.
They completed at least three qualifying years.
The agency was active at the time of death.
They held an insurance policy (excluding temporary policies) with a minimum sum assured of ₹5,000 at the time of death.
